Requisition ID req30992 Working Title HESS Unit Administrator Position Grade 11 Position Summary The Department of Health, Exercise, & Sports Sciences (HESS) is seeking to hire a collaborative, organized, industrious, and independent staff member who is interested in diverse work duties to manage and seek growth opportunities for the Physical Education Non-Professional (PHED) Program and contribute to wider HESS operations. The PHED Program is a high-volume unit that serves 3,000 students a semester through 100+ sections of a variety of physical activity courses, from strength and conditioning to ballroom dance, Pilates, team sports, yoga, and martial arts courses. HESS wishes to hire a candidate that can bring greater organization and efficiency to the PHED program, and also identify growth opportunities and creatively take advantage of them by introducing new courses that attract students. This position will collaborate closely with the Department Chair and Department Administrator in PHED Program management and growth. In addition, this position will provide wider departmental support for HESS operations, including personnel transactions, scheduling, purchasing, addressing facility needs, and more. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience managing at least one of the following functional areas: fiscal services, administration and/or human resources AND 1 year of additional experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
