Job Description

Cloud Engineer II

Exciting Opportunity at MSK

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer II to join the Cloud Infrastructure team. In this role you will plan, design and develop solutions to meet customer needs by translating business requirements into system designs.

Role Overview:

    Drives requirements for integrating cloud capabilities and scenarios supporting the service, including service availability, quality, outage management, subscription management, maintenance of usage and administration of charges, and cost-efficient solution architecture.
  • Research, analyze, design, propose, and deliver cloud-based solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.
  • Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the enterprise.
  • Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards.
  • Provides technical guidance regarding performance, scalability, security, design, and implementation of cloud services.
  • Provides ongoing L2 cloud operational support. Analyzes the technical performance and reliability of products, systems, and services against identified industry standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitating the development, testing, and deployment of automation technologies.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experienced professional with deep knowledge and actionable experience (domain level).
  • Strong CloudFormation with StackSets and custom resource development is required.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification is a nice to have.
  • AWS Cloud Experience is required.
  • Python experience is required.
  • Terraform experience is preferred.
  • Go experience is preferred.
  • 5-6 years of Cloud Engineering experience is preferred.
  • Hospital/Medical experience is a plus.

  • Superb communication skills.
  • Understands technical discussions and is able to actively contribute.
  • Operates at the 'subsystem level.'
  • Attention to detail.
  • Works largely independently against defined objectives.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and ensure project milestones are met.

Additional Information:

  • Location: 633 Third Ave. NYC
  • Reporting to Manager II, Infrastructure
  • Schedule: Hybrid 1-2 times a quarter.
