Safely and effectively develop new relationships, maintain relationships and execute agreements between Baker, Brokers, and Customers for National Contracts at prices profitable and sustainable for Baker and beneficial for customers. Customer service and follow-through are the two key important qualities of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create contracts and agreements for the customers and sub-contractors
  • Maintain relationships with our customers and potential customers as well as gaining as new business per company defined objectives and goals.
  • Efficiently document communication between Baker and the customers in order to facilitate information flow within the department.
  • Maintain National Accounts files with accurate paperwork and timely information for locations of accounts and contract follow-ups to preventing expiration. Input customer service requests into CSS and SalesForce.
  • Create pricing spreadsheets and schemes for each customer to facilitate contracts based on the decisions of Baker's Pricing Committee.
  • Contact customers and brokers to verify service satisfaction, propose new equipment, and extend contracts. Forward service requests to National Accounts Customer Care Coordinators.
  • Locate sub-contractors and follow-up on their services and frequencies to ensure prompt and proper service and escalate to the Director of the National Accounts Center to be addressed.
  • Conduct efficiency and satisfaction verifications of all National Accounts Divisions and Sub-Contractors are performing service regularly and efficiently. Forward any service-related issues to National Accounts Customer Care Coordinators and escalate issues to National Accounts Center Manager.
  • Assist the National Accounts Center with special projects as they arise and are requested
  • Answer overflow phone calls as they come in if the Customer Care Coordinators cannot answer or are unavailable
  • Report travel and customer meetings necessary to facilitate cost/benefit analyses of Operation. Create a daily report of actions completed during that day and approximate time taken for each action
  • Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner
  • Follow department and company procedures
  • Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company
  • Other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the business. These responsibilities may change from time to time are business needs evolve over time.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Professional Certifications, Education, Experience and Travel Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in a National Sales Position (food service or hospitality industry preferred)
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable MVR
  • Ability to follow and give oral and written directions to complete assigned tasks
  • Must have good phone/communication skills
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks and work well with others
  • Proficiency with Word and Outlook (or similar e-mail software application)
  • Must have advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Salesforce (preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Constantly (over 2/3):

  • Operates computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printer.
  • Remain in a stationary position for 50% or more of the time
  • Review documents, organizes data and detects accuracy of information
  • Communicates with customers and co-workers and exchanges accurate information in-person, telephonically and via electronic devices/e-mail

Frequently (1/3-2/3):

  • Moves throughout office accessing files, office machinery, etc.

Occasionally (under 1/3):

  • Moves materials or documents up to 25 lb.
  • Travels to customer locations and moves throughout customer facilities such as kitchen and areas where grease collection occurs
