The Principal Data Visualization Designer is a leader in the design and creation of data products at the UVA Health System. The candidate will be responsible for helping the Analytics and Reporting team communicate actionable insight to clinical and business leaders. Using a combination of design thinking technical skill and creative vision the candidate will work with other designers analysts scientists and engineers on projects involving storytelling with data. Develop and deploy data visualizations Distill qualitative and quantitative insight to communicate compelling stories Lead product creation on the data product design team Interact with and understand data customers in the Health System Lead a team in creating a unifying user experience across a range of data products for the entire Health System In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. Position Compensation Range: $55.67 - $89.07 Hourly MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Advanced degree Experience: 10+ year relevant experience Licensure: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
