Manager, Processes & Governance has a significant role in realizing the vision of the Western Union product strategy and ensuring that products and services are developed with the needs of our customers in mind, following set processes and in the most efficient ways possible. This role has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the local team, including working with Program Management, System Architects/Engineering, Customers and Business Owners.

Role Responsibilities




  • Develop and implement robust Product Development Lifecycle processes and product governance frameworks to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with industry standards.



  • Establish, document, and communicate effective product management processes, driving consistency across the global team.



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive risk management strategies are in place.



  • Facilitate regular reviews with Business partners and audits to monitor adherence to established processes as well as identify areas for improvement.



  • Provide leadership in change management initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of new processes and tools.



  • Act as a central point of contact for governance-related queries, offering guidance and support to product managers, stakeholders and partners.



  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.



  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate team members on governance best practices and processes.



  • Produce comprehensive reports and metrics to assess the performance of projects and the overall health of the program.



  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and refine governance structures in response to changing business needs.




Role Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.



  • Proven experience in governance and process management, ideally within a global product development lifecycle and management environment.



  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.



  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.



  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive process improvements.



  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.



  • Relevant certifications are a plus.

Salary

The on-target earnings range is $123,983- $165,312 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
