This position reports to

Technical Training Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop course materials and handle content delivery for technical training for customers, either in classroom or on-site. Each day, you will be responsible for post-training activities such as course feedback collection, possible corrective actions on course materials and equipment, etc. You will also showcase your expertise by guaranteeing excellent customer service and securing high level of customer satisfaction through trainings.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Provides ABB Electrification Installation Products technical training solutions to internal, external, and end users. Training content will include online, instructional videos, as well as instructor-led delivery in support of ABB business objectives.
* Responsible for all assigned product training requirements, including but not limited to travel plans, training coordination, delivery, online e-learning, how-to-videos, webinar content, virtual classroom content, and face-to-face content creation, as well as maintenance, improvements, and updates as needed.
* Assists in the needs assessment process and makes suggestions to improve delivery methods, design, creation, innovation, and updates of training programs or materials.
* Collaborates with other Technical Trainers, Instructional Designers, and subject matter experts in the development of train-the-trainer materials enhancing the demonstration of delivery concepts and improving the customer journey.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor degree in Teaching, Training, Educational/Learning Technologies, Instructional Design, Business Administration/ Business Management, Organizational Management and or Marketing Management
  • Minimum 5 years of technical training/adult education experience or combined educational/training design experience
  • Experience with gamification, pedagogy instructional design, ADDIE methodology, AR and VR, virtual classroom delivery preferred
  • Experience with instructional design tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Rise, and Camtasia or other AI video creation platforms a plus
  • Low to medium voltage electrical experience, NEC, IEEE, and electrical code knowledge a plus
  • Must be able to lift 30lbs. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Travel 35-65% to onsite locations required
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
