JOB TITLE: Environmental Services Technician

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

• The Environmental Services Technician cleans and disinfects patient and non-patient care areas and removes refuse materials, along with the replacement of expandable supplies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Cleans and disinfectants patient and non-patient care areas
• Removes refuse materials, and replacement of expendable supplies
• Stocks areas as appropriate
• Operate floor equipment
• Regular and prompt work-site attendance
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the U.S.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement
• Previous experience in cleaning/floor maintenance in a hospital environment is preferred
• Is aware of professional standards and performs in accordance with them
