Manufacturing Unit Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure efficient and cost-effective production results. Each day, you will be responsible to meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level). You will also showcase your expertise by developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in Albuquerque.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Preparing annual production budget, overseeing progress, and determining actions to cost issues as necessary to manage operations within the budget and resources.
*Developing and executing plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increase revenues, and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates.
*Ensuring that Four Quadrants (4Q) program training and methods are implemented in the organization.
*Providing support as required, during customer visits to explain the capabilities of the manufacturing facilities.

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of management experience in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proven track record of success, continuous improvement and change implementation.
• Basic management skills, understanding of financial reports.
• Formulation and control of operating budgets.
• Knowledge of the following; EPA Regulations, rubber molding operations, Lean manufacturing, 5's, and standardized work applications.
• Flexible to work across 3 shifts as needed.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Manufacturing includes made-to-stock and custom-made solutions.
