Drafter, Mid

Key Role:

Develops detailed design specifications for products and structures, specifies dimensions, materials, and procedures. Applies specific functional knowledge and industry knowledge. May assist in the development of solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works under general supervision and may provide guidance for less experienced team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience using and guiding others in the use of ASME Y14 and MIL standards

  • Experience working with data management systems for the tracking of changes and revision control of drawings, models, and documents

  • Experiencing working with multi-discipline engineering teams, machinist, integrators, artisans, or vendors to develop drawing packages

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or Inventor to create parts and assemblies

  • Ability to independently use engineering and manufacturer data sources to develop manufacturing and assembly drawing packages

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience in drafting, or 10+ years of experience in drafting in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience drafting electro-mechanical systems, schematics, and assemblies

  • Experience drafting site or facility installation details, including elevations, floor plans, and mounting details

  • Experience creating drawing packages for military equipment and platform integrations

  • Experience with measuring tools, including calipers, rulers, and 3D laser

  • Experience using MBSE tools as inputs for drawings and models

  • Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $47,000.00 to $96,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
