Job Summary Under the direction of the Chair of the Division of Hematology and Oncology, the Attending Physician performs professional work in medical, educational and research activities. The Attending Physician is an expert in the care and treatment of patients with cancer and benign hematological conditions providing knowledgeable, compassionate, and holistic care to the patients they serve. Provides inpatient and outpatient and electronic consultative care in hematology and oncology. Participates in clinical trials to investigate new and better treatment strategies for patients with cancer. The Attending Physician will be credentialed in Internal and Hematology/Oncology Medicine at Stroger and Provident Hospitals of Cook County providing inpatient care. Ambulatory services may include clinical work at ambulatory sites other than the central campus. Typical Duties
