This will require that the successful candidate provide excellent customer service and maintain confidentiality of records and information. In addition to supporting the Student Services Office in Building 1, this work-study student will staff the UNM-Los Alamos Food Pantry for a portion of the hours it is open. Duties include: Answer front desk telephone, route calls, take messages, and provide general information to customers. Schedule and maintain student appointments. Establish, maintain, process, and/or update file documents for scanning and archiving. Perform a variety of data entry assignments and understand the organization of data in order to provide basic information. Operate personal computer to draft correspondence, print and mail letters, reports, or other materials as requested. Open and route incoming mail; distribute correspondence and other material to department staff. Inventory and restock Food Pantry items as needed; provide staffing and service to customers. Perform other duties as assigned. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for Work-Study employment: 1. Submitted a FAFSA for the academic year and indicated an interest in work-study employment; 2. Be enrolled in a UNM degree or certificate program; 3. Maintain at least half-time enrollment (6 credit hours in fall and spring; 3 credit hours for summer) for each term of work; 4. Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
