Essential Job Function



  • Create and maintain quality documents per ISO requirements
  • Create, revise, and improve quality procedures
  • Responsible for inspecting raw materials, in process materials, and finished goods through designated testing methods and visually for certain aesthetics
  • Maintain constant awareness of non-conforming materials in all phases
  • Defines, creates, and maintains key metrics with management and operations staff including quality reports
  • Develop, implement and control various reporting systems, including graphs, diagrams, and charts concerning product controls, performance, and quality to assist management in decision making
  • Maintains and creates defect display boards, work instructions, standard work, and inspection forms
  • Performs periodic internal audits of various departments, documents, and processes to ensure system performance and effectiveness of procedures
  • Lead the analysis of findings including summaries of root cause and countermeasure action plans
  • Assists the quality department, customer service, and sales in analyzing customer complaints while developing viable solutions
  • Assists with supplier action reports, communication with suppliers, and validating corrective action responses received from suppliers
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Job Qualifications



  • Minimum of 2 years' experience or have adequate training in a field of quality assurance
  • Capable of making decisions comparing test data to quality or manufacturing standards
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of measurements, weights, etc.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, specifically written and oral, with all levels of the organization
  • Proficient with computer programs, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiar with plastic and rubber manufacturing technology is a plus
  • Knowledge of internal and external audits is a plus

Equipment Used

This position uses a mils gauge, tape measure, computer, copier, scales, calculator, press, tensile and elongation meter, thermometer, etc.
