I am working with a client in Dallas that is looking for a (Hands On) Microsoft Data Services Manager. This is a direct hire position.
Overview:
Manage the Data Management Team(DBA's, Data Engineers/Analysts)
Collaborate with leaders to assess, prioritize, and focus resources for technical data system requirements.
Mentor and serve as the Technical SME for the team.
Define team objectives, provide guidance and support to team, and communicate solutions interdepartmentally.
Develop long-term strategies, and continually grow the Data Services' functions and responsibilities within the organization.
Bachelor's degree in an IT related field is preferred.
8+ years in SQL programming / ETL development / business intelligence report writing.
4+ years' experience in a managerial role preferred.
Extensive experience with Microsoft on-prem platforms (SSMS, SSIS, et.) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Experience with Azure Resources (Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Functions, Log Apps, App Registrations, Key Vault, etc.).
Experience with on-prem and cloud Data Warehousing required.
Experience in database tuning and database archiving preferred.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server Development including: creation of tables / schema definition, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers and performance optimization.
Demonstrated ability to perform database troubleshooting and implement solutions.
