Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Retail Supervisor for the beautiful new Barton Creek Resort & Spa!

Responsible for organizing and overseeing the retail operations, ensuring quality of food, beverage, service and ambiance, while driving sales of products to increase revenue.



Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Lead, mentor, discipline staff, evaluate their performance and document all aspects of their employment.
  • Oversee maintenance of all equipment and cleanliness of Marketplace.
  • Perform all other administrative functions required and communicate information from management meetings.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and follow all safety procedures as outlined in your Standards of Conduct and Loss Prevention Manual.
  • Work directly with Retail Manager on new incentives and ideas to generate revenue.
  • Ensure replenishment orders are placed according to business needs and are stocked adequately.
  • Ensure food order is based on our occupancy.
  • Responsible for involvement with physical inventories once per quarter or 4 times per year.
  • Become an expert in and train in all Omni Related Retail SOP's.
  • Manage and coach selling performance of associates and metrics of the Coffee Market, driving excellence in Customer service levels.
  • Assist in timely flow of merchandise from receiving to shops to maximize sales.
  • Help with transfers of merchandise and mark-downs.
  • Communicate and partner effectively with Retail Manager and Retail Inventory Specialist.
  • Share/propose best practice implementation/solutions for Coffee Market, property of Company based on learning from day-to-day operations.


Qualifications

  • Prior retail and direct customer service experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Scheduling flexibility, including willingness to work weekends, early mornings and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and move moderate weights.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Working Environment:

  • Indoor resort building in retail locations.
  • Occasional outdoor tasks and travel around property when needed.

  • Computer, printer, telephone
  • ResortSuite, Birchstreet, WinRetail, OnTrack, Microsoft Office programs
  • Cleaning supplies
