The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS is accepting applications for the 2025 Championship Intern program. The Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS is a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event on the Korn Ferry Tour, is conducted annually at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, IL. The four-day, 72-hole competition features 156 players from around the world competing for a total purse of $1,000,000. As the path to the PGA TOUR, the Korn Ferry Tour features some of the most talented professional golfers who are ready to compete on golf's biggest stage. The 2025 Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS will be held June 23- 29, 2025. The tournament is managed by Eventive Sports Properties, a nationwide sports management company based in Birmingham, AL.
Internship Overview:
Championship Interns will work alongside full-time championship staff on many aspects of the event. Primary areas of concentration will include marketing and operations, as well as sales, volunteers, and overall event execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently on multiple projects, and a willingness to go above and beyond for tournament stakeholders. Interns will be asked to take ownership of key projects and will gain strong professional experience. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in sports management, marketing, communications, event management, or related field.

Championship Intern Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge:
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
* Excellent people and organizational skills.
* Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Computer skills are mandatory.
* Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure.
* Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Application Information:
* Internship is part of college curriculum/class credit only. This is an unpaid internship.
* Internship timeframe: (flexible depending on availability) May through July 11, 2025.
* Hours: For the first month or two, 10-20 hours per week, then increased hours thereafter. Must be able to work extended/irregular hours including nights and weekends as event approaches and during event. Most work hours will be in a typical office environment at Memorial Health Championship's office. Working outside and on-site during event should be expected.
