GENERAL FUNCTION

The Data Visualization Manager will lead the process of visualizing data derived from multiple sources and incorporating the results into actionable insights as requested by internal customers like Management, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations. The candidate should have strong analytical and database skills to facilitate understanding of client motivations and client data requirements to meet business needs. The individual should stay current with data visualization tools/capabilities in respective technologies. The position will support architecture design, data sources preparation, reporting development and support, security and governance implementation, training.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop a strong understanding of the organization's internal data structure and sources.
  • Architect the SAP Business Objects Data Visualization platform and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Integrate new and existing information systems to connect to the Business Objects reporting platform such that the data from these sources can be directly used for reporting, data analysis and data modelling.
  • In coordination with the other team members, understand business requirements very clearly then translate them into software reporting applications, KPIs and interactive dynamic dashboards.
  • Be involved in all aspects of the dashboard development life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, implementation, code review and support.
  • Utilize strong SAP Business Objects and SQL scripting skills to write incremental data load queries and automate the ETL Tasks to pull data from our Business Intelligence data warehouse.
  • Provide sales analysis via Business Objects reports to over 200 Sales representatives while assessing performance against Regional Goals.
  • Provide customized reporting and recommendations to Senior Management and Marketing teams in support of on-going business decisions.
  • Build reusable templates and components which can be utilized across multiple Business Objects applications.
  • Ensure that applications are built using the best coding practices and corporate standards.
  • Mentor internal development team and promote self-service analytics on the new Business Objects reporting ecosystem within our organization.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics or Finance.
  • 5+ years successful experience in a similar analytical roles - Business Intelligence analysis, sales analysis (preferably in industrial sectors)
  • Technology acumen with a strong proficiency of database tools and SAP Business Objects.
  • Experience in manipulating multiple, complex and large data sources.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong IT project management, business writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with or experience working in Agile Scrum software development teams.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of the organization verbally and in writing, with the ability to build effective partnerships across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering results in a timely manner. Skilled at working as a contributing team member and individually on set projects.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experienced in Data Science, statistical models.
