Inova Psychiatric Partial Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Outpatient Behavioral Health Supervisor to join the team. Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Clinical Outpatient Behavioral Health Supervisor Job Responsibilities:



  • Demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in the provision of a range of therapeutic services, psychoeducational programming and behavioral interventions to assist the client in achieving progress towards the goals and objectives of individualized treatment plans.
  • Assesses and diagnoses mental health and/or substance use disorders through a bio/psycho/social department specific and evidenced based assessment identifying patient and family goals and needs.
  • Integrates assessments using information related to cultural, clinical, ethnic, age and other factors into the plan of care while providing a range of therapeutic interventions, psychoeducational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
  • Responsible for oversight of daily operations related to clinical therapy and administrative functions, procedures and protocols.
  • Supervises administrative operations, scheduling/registration, and direct patient care. Works collaboratively with physicians, therapists and other team members of the behavioral health team to effect timely, appropriate patient care management.


Additional Requirements:



  • Work schedule: (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
  • Education: Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
  • Experience: Three years in mental health/substance use disordered, psychoeducational programming including brief, targeted evidence[1]based interventions (crisis intervention, trauma, integrative therapies). Demonstrated success as a clinical supervisor.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association within 3 months of hire. Crisis Prevention Institute within 6 months of hire.
  • Licensure: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
