WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Englewood office, this new position will be driving the next phase of our company's growth with our TPU Polyurethane Belting. You will be involved in the development and implementation of product line strategic plans, including market and competitive analysis and identifying strategic initiatives that drive profitable growth.

This role is essential in building and nurturing product roadmaps, collaborating with engineering to align technology roadmaps that support our shared vision. You will identify, justify, and select new product development projects and marketing programs to foster growth in incoming orders and sales, ensuring we achieve our profitability targets. Additionally, you'll support the formulation of both short-term and long-term goals, helping to create a comprehensive plan for success across all facets of our product line, including meeting orders, sales, market share, price realization, profitability, quality, delivery and vitality metrics. Working alongside operations, you will ensure the manufacturability and delivery of product per our growth projections.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supports the entire product lifecycle, from strategic planning and tactical managing to achieving financial and operating metrics.
  • Manage a truly global product line including operational footprints spanning Europe and North America as well as collaborating with regional commercial teams worldwide.
  • Develop and review business cases for potential investment of company capital and resources. Support and drive the Change Review Board stage gate process ensuring feature, quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met. Prepare necessary materials for market launches and commercialization.
  • Enhance product positioning in the market by building synergies across Gates Power Transmission products, aiming for comprehensive market solutions and maximizing profitability.
  • Maintain current knowledge and expertise of product engineering technologies, new product designs, competitor capabilities and practices, market conditions, and market channels in order to develop long-term strategies for product design and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Conduct voice of the customer interviews and feed customer desires into internal organization through customer visits, industry association participation, and competitive research.
  • Identify and drive strategic growth opportunities by establishing actionable roadmaps and KPIs to measure and celebrate successes.
  • Support the preparation of effective quotations, bids, and related negotiation documentation for the sale of products in multiple countries and regions.
  • Own Quarterly Business Reviews and updates with senior management to share progress and discuss challenges on key initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively across diverse functional groups, leading through influence and fostering strong relationships in a matrix organization.

  • Strategic mindset with a strong blend of business and technology acumen.

  • Experience working directly with industrial distribution channels is desired.
  • Adaptable and resourceful in a dynamic environment, with a passion for driving positive change.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business Development, or a related subject from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a combination of product line management, business development, outside field sales, application engineering, product engineering, and/or business management.
  • Self-driven, creative thinker who can position a product line well for future growth.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and representation of large data sets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead appropriate-level conversations from detailed technical conversations with plant staff to executive-level business cases.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including international travel.
  • Excited to work in the office with great teammates.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Full-Time
  • Salary: $118,000 - $140,000
  • Bonus Eligible
  • Relocation is not provided
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
  • 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
