Position Overview: The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on financial management, process improvement, and operational efficiency. This role requires leadership in managing the sales, finance, technical and operations teams, while also driving the growth and success of the company. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial oversight, process optimization, and a strong understanding of tools like SalesForce and QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Oversee and manage the company's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate records of transactions, revenues, and expenses.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and improve operational processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability. Implement best practices to optimize workflows and streamline the company's operations.
  • Sales & Customer Relationship Management: Collaborate with the sales team to drive global sales efforts, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure exceptional service. Use SalesForce for tracking customer interactions and sales performance.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams across sales, finance, tech and operations. Ensure clear communication, goal-setting, and alignment with company objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategies that support the company's growth and expansion. Identify new market opportunities and develop customized marketing programs to fit customer verticals.
  • Customer Support: Oversee the support team to ensure customers receive top-tier service, including on-site demonstrations and formal training sessions.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure the company operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Mitigate risks related to operational and financial activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in management roles, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and using QuickBooks.
  • Proven track record of process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Experience with CRM systems, particularly SalesForce, is required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Experience working with a younger team and in a family run business environment

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
