Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in Oldsmar, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Use a microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually align parts before soldering, and perform post-re-flow inspection and touch-up.
  • Identify and touch up poor wetted solder joints, solder voids / insufficient solder, solder shorts/ bridges, misaligned parts/leads, tombstoned and or billboarded components, and any other solder defects that may occur during the SMT operation.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $21+/hr.

Hours: 4/10-1st Shift.

Length: Temp (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in soldering.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience using rework equipment such as hot air pencils, hot plates, and BGA removal (ERSA or other OEM).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with surface mount components.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD.
  • IPC-610 Certification.
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience running, soldering, and tacking down jumper wires on re-design boards.
  • Familiar with using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to aid in identifying solder defects and understand false calls vs. actual calls or issues.
  • Must be able to read instructions and identify standard SMT components.
  • Be an extraordinary solder technician or operator who has used re-work equipment.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
